Mr. Max is a Hong Kong born Native English Teacher, he graduated from Lingnan University in 2021 majoring in English language and communications. Mr. Max is equipped with 3 years of teaching experience, and loves being around kids. He hopes that all his students can excel and develop love and interest for the English language.

Ms. Aidah recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She spent several years as a personal trainer before turning to her true passion—teaching—by completing a TEFL course. When Ms. Aidah is not teaching, she loves travelling and bringing diverse cultural experiences into her classroom.

Ms. Bash is from sunny South Africa; she completed a degree in Education in 2014 from the University of Johannesburg. She loves teaching and doing crafts with her students. She is interested in watching sports and travelling.

After Mr. Shane completing his Bachelor's in International Business, he decided to pursue a career in educating the next generation of future leaders. He hopes to give back to the city that has given him a lot. Shane has a deep passion for sports and regularly plays American Football every weekend.

Mr. Abraham is a compassionate and motivated educator with four years of teaching experience. He believes in creating a supportive and communicative classroom environment where every child feels safe, secure, special, and appropriately challenged. He holds a Bachelor of Marketing Communication and a Certificate in TESOL (CertTESOL). He is currently pursuing a PGCE in Education.

Mr. Adam is from the United States. He received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and an MBA. Mr. Adam has tutored children in English and other subjects.

Ms Adeline is from the vibrant South Africa. She has a bachelor's degree in Drama and Theatre Studies and a Postgraduate certificate in Education. Ms Adeline has been teaching for six years and she always aims to make her classes interesting, interactive and informative.

This is Adri Boshoff. She comes to us from South Africa. She is passionate about working with children. She has two degrees in Communication and Education.

Miss Adri is from Cape Town in South Africa. She has an Honors degree in Microbiology. She enjoys working with children and loves to see them grow. Her hobbies include, reading, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Ms. Áine graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts from TU Dublin, Ireland. She worked as a chef for several years before obtaining her TEFL certification. She moved to South Korea to teach English in 2019 and she has been teaching ESL for almost 6 years now. She has recently moved to Macau and is excited to continue her teaching career at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Alex is from Swansea in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a solicitor. After the birth of his daughter here in Hong Kong he decided to change his career and completed his TEFL course. He is looking forward to helping his students achieve their full potential!

Mr. Alex is from the United Kingdom. Before teaching he worked in Real Estate and graduated with a Bachelors of Law and a Masters in Real Estate Management. He enjoys Rugby and Paddleboarding and believes in fostering a fun and productive learning environment where students can excel at learning English.

Mr. Alexwas born and raised all his life in the United States, where he graduated from university with a Bachelor’s in History. He has been teaching ESL for many years to many students in places like the US, China, Thailand and Hong Kong! Alex is always motivated to create an amazing experience and great English lessons for his students!

Mr.Alex is a dynamic and enthusiastic English teacher, dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential in literature and language. Alex creates a stimulating and supportive learning environment, with a passion for creative expression and a knack for making complex concepts accessible. Ms. Alina enjoys watching movies and traveling. She hopes that her students will have fun and enjoy learning English。

Ms. Amy is from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. She obtained her bachelor’s degree is General Science and specialized in Chemistry. Ms. Amy loves to travel and try on different cuisines. She enjoys teaching young children and looking forward to join the Monkey Tree team.

Miss Ana is from Norway, and has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a BA in Marketing. She loves language learning, and has studied eight different languages in her life. In her free time she enjoys practicing traditional martial arts, hiking, drawing and meeting friends.

Ms. Anaya is from the United Kingdom. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Swansea. She competed her TEFL in 2023. Her hobbies include hiking, drawing and travelling!

Ms. Reia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and completed her TESOL & TEFL certificate course. She has been working with kids for over 3 years and enjoys connecting with her students using fun learning methods that motivates students in learning the English language. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts at The University of Gloucestershire and his Master of Arts at Goldsmiths University in London, UK, for Creative & Life Writing, Andrew acquired a love of the English language and its utilization across many fields. After some tutoring classes, he moved over to Hong Kong to pursue a career in teaching. He wishes to use this creative side with his energy to make his lessons as effective as possible for his students.

Ms. Ann is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Film, Visual, and Performing Arts, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She loves working with children, enjoys all kinds of sports, and is happiest when spending time with family and friends.

Miss Anne is from the sunny city of Durban, South Africa. After graduating with a Bcompt Financial Accounting Degree, she obtained a certificate in creative writing and hopes to be a writer of children's literature some day. She enjoys traveling, exploring, listening to music, writing, and cooking.

Miss Antoinette has n degree in education, a masters degree in chemistry, and is a certified career guidance practitioner. After 13 years of teaching university students, she decided to expand her teaching skills at Monkey Tree. She enjoys a little adventure and loves reading mystery novels.

Mr. Anton is from Cape Town, South Africa. He has experience teaching English in various settings such as schools and language centers. His approach to teaching emphasizes the ability to use English effectively in real-life situations. His classes are fun and engaging, and he loves helping students achieve their goals.

Mr. Prinsloo is an Industrial Psychology graduate from Potchefstroom, South Africa. He enjoys exploring, fishing and hiking in his spare time. Mr. Ashley is from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He loves sports, soccer in particular, so much so that his abilities earned him a full academic and sporting scholarship. In his spare time, Mr. Ashley enjoys reading and watching podcasts. 

Miss Audrey has been to various countries in Asia and enjoys Asia very much. She also likes exploring new places and is a foodie who’s always on the hunt for new and unique restaurants.

Miss Ayesha is passionate about unlocking her students' potential. She fosters creativity to make learning an engaging journey. An avid sports enthusiast and traveler, she enjoys immersing herself in new experiences as much as discovering new literary worlds.

Ms. Ayman is a passionate English teacher who aims to help her students speak English confidently. Outside of teaching, Ms. Ayman enjoys going on mountain hikes and barbecues every so often!!

Mr. Bevan is from Ireland. He studied Law with Chinese Studies at University College Dublin. He has experience working at a kindergarten in Shenzhen and loves teaching young children. He enjoys reading, his favourite author is Leo Tolstoy.

Mr. Brandon was born in Canada and currently resides in Macau with his family. He received a diploma in Business Management from Okanagan College. Previously, Mr. Cooke’s tourism experience provided him with the opportunity to pursue educational vocations both domestically and abroad. He enjoys reading and writing on historical topics and spends his free time painting.

Mr Brandon is from South Africa and holds an undergraduate degree in English and Psychology, as well as a postgraduate certificate in Education. He has experience teaching English across various curricula and age groups. He is passionate about developing learners’ English skills and enriching their minds. Outside the classroom, he enjoys outdoor activities, running, and exploring

Mr. Brandon is from South Africa and holds a BSc in Biomedical Science. He is also busy with his MBA. He is passionate about traveling and is an adrenaline junkie who loves seeking new adventures. Mr. Brendan is an English teacher from South Africa, who obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in 2021. He is passionate about the English language and educating young learners. His aim is to make learners excited about learning English by providing a fun yet educational teaching environment.

Mr. Brian grew up in Southern California. Before coming to Hong Kong, he spent 2 years teaching in Shenzhen. Mr. Brian loves the outdoors and sports, especially rugby!

Ms. Bri is from the United States. She holds a BS in Engineering from Penn State, but found her true passion in teaching. After moving around the world for several years as an English teacher, she has settled in Hong Kong. She enjoys being outdoors and exploring Hong Kong's Country Parks.

Ms. Brisa is from the United States. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Arts in 2022. In her free time, she loves to travel and try new things. After teaching ESL for a year in Taiwan, she decided to expand her career and teach in Hong Kong.

Miss B is from a small town in the North of Ireland. She lived, and worked as an English Teacher, in Hunan Province for over six years where she began her love of teaching English to students. In the classroom, she loves bringing games and creativity to the class. Outside the classroom, she loves travelling, trying to find the best vegetarian food in Hong Kong, and reading. She is very excited to join Monkey Tree and experience life in Hong Kong!

Miss Bronwyn is from South Africa. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Law degree from the University of South Africa. She completed two TEFL courses. Her hobbies are watching series, reading and travelling. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Ms. Caitlyn is from Australia. She completed her studies in Macau and has a bachelor degree in business as well as a TEFL certificate. She has a passion for business, dancing, and teaching. Ms. Caitlyn is very excited to be joining the Monkey Tree team.

Mr. Cam is enthusiastic, full of energy and always ready to learn, He come from Durban South Africa where he studied Commerce and Marketing. He enjoys playing football, gaming and exploring new cuisine.

Miss Candace is an enthusiastic, bubbly teacher who comes from South Africa. She approaches teaching with an enjoyable, interactive way that allows children to learn while they have fun. Candace finished her degree with a major in Art and Drama and loves to create artistic new ways of teaching. She interacts with kids in a kind and hands-on approach. Candace is excited for her new journey with the kids and all the new and wonderful things teaching in Hong Kong has to offer.

Mr. Stefan is from sunny South Africa. He loves history, wildlife, and field hockey. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Divinity (Theology), an Advance Diploma in Project Management, and a certificate in Executive Couching and Counselling. Mr. Stefan is passionate about coaching and mentoring young learners, helping them to develop and excel.

Miss Engelbrecht is from South Africa and graduated from the University of Pretoria. She enjoys writing poems and baking. Miss Engelbrecht decided to come to Hong Kong, to experience the culture, people and food. She’s really looking forward to staying in Hong Kong and teaching here.

Ms Carla is a qualified teacher. She loves to go on hikes and to the beach. Her favourite snack is the Salmon Sushi Triangles from 7 Eleven.

Mr. Caro grew up in Upington, South Africa, obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Risk Management from the North West University of Potchefstroom in 2019,. He spent a few years working in the finance and investment industry, before realizing that he still wants to see more of the world. He decided to move to Macau, to teach young kids English with passion.

Ms Catherine is a friendly 25 years old teacher from Johannesburg, South Africa. Ms Catherine attended the University of Pretoria and completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Visual Studies. She loves to travel and have always wished to experience different cultures. This encouraged her to become TEFL qualified, allowing her the incredible opportunity of exploring Hong Kong whilst teaching English.

Mr. Chad holds degrees in Marketing and Financial Planning and has worked in schools in Australia. He creates fun, supportive lessons to help students grow in confidence. Outside the classroom, he enjoys sports, going to the beach, and discovering new cultures through food and travel.

Mr. Charl is from South Africa. He has previously been a volunteer teacher for special needs children at public schools. He has also been a supplementary tutor for university students. After graduating with a degree in psychology and sociology, he decided to focus on teaching English as a second language to young students.

Ms. Chelsea studied a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in the United States. She worked at an ESL learning center near her while studying in university. She is passionate about showing young students that language learning can be fun and rewarding. She strongly believes that her friendly and realistic approach will allow students to feel comfortable and have fun while learning naturally.

Chizel is from beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. She loves fun, new adventures and loves anything outdoors and sunny. Chizel believes that when we create a safe and fun environment, anyone can learn and grow.

Mr. Chris is from Durban, South Africa. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Ichthyology and Fisheries Science in 2024 and completed his TEFL Certificate shortly after. Mr. Chris has a passion for the outdoors, where you can find him fishing, bodyboarding, golfing, or hiking whenever the opportunity arises. Mr Cuan was born and raised in South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Organization Psychology and Industrial Sociology. Whilst studying, Mr. Cuan was a student assistant for two years at a private school within the city. He enjoyed working with kids and teenagers, thus he started his post graduate certificate in education. He then did TEFL to get him to his dream city. Mr. Dane is from Australia. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) from Deakin University. He has tutored students both in Australia and abroad, in countries such as Spain, China and Indonesia. You will likely see him playing basketball on the many fabulous courts around the city - be sure to say hi!

Mr. Daniel is from the UK. He has been living in Hong Kong for three years now. He has a kind heart and is very passionate about educating children. He is a singer, songwriter and loves helping children become more confident. He enjoys hiking and doing outdoor activities. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Daniel worked in playgroups and nurseries in England.

Miss Dani earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and TEFL Diploma from the University of Alberta. She is passionate about English both inside and outside of the classroom. In her spare time, she attends book clubs and writes short stories. Miss Dani has been teaching in Hong Kong for over two years.

Ms. Zhang, from Qujing in Yunnan, attained Mandarin certificate, has a rich experience in dubbing. She is cheerful, humorous, and she is good at getting along with children.

Mr. Darryn is from South Africa where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Africa. After working in the aviation and boiler industries, he decided to pursue a career in teaching. He completed his TEFL course and looks forward to studying further in the field of education. Mr. David is from Bristol, England. He studied a Business Management degree at the University of the West of England. Mr. David has travelled extensively since, including volunteering spells with a disaster response NGO in The Philippines, and most recently teaching English to children. He has a passion for adventure and mountain trekking, and je completed an expedition to Himalayan mountain range, successfully completing a traverse of Thorong-La, the highest mountain pass in the world!

Ms. Dayna is a dedicated and passionate educator who brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson. With a strong commitment to her students' success, she strives to inspire a love for learning and curiosity in every classroom.

De Villiers loves watching learners develop into a more confident version of themselves, as they improve on their English. He also loves going hiking and exploring new places, he always did that back in Cape Town, South Africa. De Villiers, is a very long name, so he always tells the learners to refer to him to as, "Mr. DV" instead.

Denise is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She studied Animal Health at the University of South Africa. She enjoys languages and teaching and has taught Ballroom Dancing for 10 years.

Mr. Deon holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He is passionate about teaching and aims to create a learning environment that is interactive, engaging, and encourages problem-solving. He enjoys staying updated with the latest technology and sharing that excitement with his students.

Mr. Moataz holds a B.A. in English and has 3 years of teaching experience. He previously worked as a teaching assistant at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, USA for a year. Miss Emilia is from the Isle of Wight, England. She studied Criminology at The University of The West of England. Emilia enjoys reading, cooking and exploring the beaches of Hong Kong.

Ms. Farana is a professional graphics and animation artist for movies and advertisements, with a bachelor's degree in commerce from India. She also holds diploma certificates in graphics and completed a short motion design course in movies in Berlin, Germany. Despite having a successful career as a film and ad designer, she always wanted to teach, and as the years went by, her love for teaching grew, eventually leading her to pursue a second career as a teacher. She enjoys going to the gym, hiking and watching films in her spare time

Mr. Finn is an enthusiastic and friendly 26-year-old English teacher. He has a degree in psychology from the University of Swansea, and loves learning new things. His hobbies include cooking, guitar and reading.

Mr. Francis is from a small old city called Canterbury in the southeast of the United Kingdom. He has a background in language education, having worked with asylum seekers in the UK with no prior experience of English. He has always had a passion for the learning and acquisition of languages.

Mr. Mat is from Rustenburg South Africa. With a Bachelor's degree in Drama and over eight years of experience, he is a dedicated ESL teacher. He is known for bringing a dynamic and humorous approach to the classroom, creating an engaging learning environment. Mr. Sean obtained a Bachelor's in Business Management and has taught English at a local primary school for 2 years. He has always had a passion for nurturing students' learning and displays care. When Mr. Sean is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, exploring nature, and watching movies.

Mr.Glenn is from South West England, close to Southampton. For the past five years he has been teaching English online, first to professionals from China and Europe and most recently to Japanese and Taiwanese students of all ages. In the past he has taught English to European students in England and to children at a Kindergarten and language school in Japan. His hobbies include drawing, photography, hiking and listening to music.

Mr Matthew comes from Cape Town, South Africa. He studied Film and Video Production and has worked as a Video Editor, Content Producer and Director for Lifestyle Television. Last year, Mr Matthew completed a degree in Photography and his TEFL training. He is excited to be living in Hong Kong and looks forward to helping all his students reach their full potential.

Mr. Pedro obtained a bachelor’s degree in jazz drums in Portugal and a master´s degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. The extensive amount of time devoted to the study of languages led him to become fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. After having taught drums for more than 10 years, Mr. Pedro decided to expand his teaching skills by becoming certified in teaching English to speakers of other languages (CertTESOL) at English for Asia in Hong Kong

Ms. Harleen is excited to join Monkey Tree English Learning Centre in Hong Kong. She holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education from HELP University in Malaysia and is passionate about creating a fun, engaging learning environment for young learners. She looks forward to growing together with the students and the team at her center.

Mrs Heather is from Cape Town, South Africa. She loves working with children and has her Bachelors Degree in Education. Mrs Heather loves to paint in her free time. She also loves exploring new places and trying new things.

Ms. Heaven is from Chicago, Illinois, USA. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Sociology before continuing to study Sociology during her Master's program. Ms. Heaven enjoys reading, crafts and anime. She is very excited to see all of what Hong Kong has to offer!

Ms. Humna obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. With an interest in developmental psychology, she opted for teaching younger kids and help them in personal, social, and emotional growth along with the academic growth.

Miss Iona is a South African who has a passion for travel and the outdoors. She has an undergraduate degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences, an honors degree in Environmental Sciences as well as a PGCE specializing in high school education of Natural Sciences and Geography. Mr.Adriaan, from Cape Town, South Africa, holds a BSc in Computer Systems. With a decade of experience in Higher Education,Miss Adriaan has excelled as both a lecturer and a faculty lead. Outside the academic realm, he is passionate about hiking, camping, sports, and playing the guitar.

Mr. JT is from Groblersdal, South Africa. He obtained a Bachelors in Law in 2019 and completed his TEFL soon after that with the intent of working abroad. Mr. JT loves being outdoors and doing thing like hiking and camping. He is also very fond of martial arts. He looks forward to bringing his experience and passion to the classroom!

Miss Jenny is from Manchester, England. She has obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Art and design from the University of Leeds and has completed her TEFL course in 2024. Miss Gray is a teacher from the US. She has a PhD in English from the University of Texas, and she received her CELTA teaching certification in 2023. She loves languages and books, and she also loves teaching, working with kids, and helping them learn.

Jimmy is from the United Kingdom and has his BA Degree in International Hospitality Business Management from England. He has a background in International Luxury 5-Star Hotel. Jimmy’s hobbies include reading, jogging, wines, restaurants and travelling.

Janus holds an MBA in Finance, a BSc Honours in Plant Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. During the last 15 years he worked in higher education in health professions, business and teacher education and also taught academic English for science, business and medicine. He is passionate about teaching and working with students to reach their learning goals at every age.

Mr. Jay brings a wealth of international experience to the classroom, having earned his master’s degree from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in China. With 12 years of teaching experience in schools across Africa and Asia, he has a proven track record of engaging students from diverse backgrounds. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Jay is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying both playing and watching a variety of athletic activities. He is particularly excited about the opportunity to immerse himself in the unique culture, language, and customs of Macao and experience all that this vibrant city has to offer.

Joti is dedicated to helping children learn and grow through fun and interactive lessons. She has a keen interest in reading and enjoys sharing stories that inspire young minds. Her love for singing brings an extra layer of creativity and joy to her teaching approach.

Mr Kamil is a French-Moroccan born and raised in Casablanca. After his Bachelors at McGill University, he came back to Hong Kong with which he fell in love during his exchange. He enjoys a hike that ends at the beach and hopes to bring the same solar energy to the kids!

Miss Katherine is from the state of New York. She recently graduated with her Bachelors in Economics. She loves playing volleyball and traveling, and decided to come to Hong Kong where she can enjoy the best of both. While new to teaching, she has always loved working with kids including running volleyball clinics.

Ms.Kathleen comes from South Africa with a Degree in Exercise, Sport and Leisure. She has worked with children on the sports fields before and wanted to expand her horizons. Ms.Kathleen came to Hong Kong in order to gain new experiences and to immerse herself in a different culture. Her hobbies include reading and playing hockey.

Mr. Liam is from Ontario in Canada. He has a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a TEFL certificate. Mr. Liam has been tutoring students of all ages in English since 2020. Besides teaching, he also loves playing the flute, singing folk songs and telling stories.

Ms. Livia is a TEFL 5 certified ESL teacher. Born and raised in Macau, she has a passion for teaching the English language and design. During her 12 years in the UK, she completed a BTech degree in Art and Design and obtained a design degree from the University for the Creative Arts. After getting his degree he volunteered at local charities and youth centers which involved taking children out on daytrips and getting them involved in art projects. Miss Bei has had experience in childcare centres, private tutoring and with playgroups. She really enjoys being around children in general because they give her so much joy and make her laugh. Miss Bei spends her free time practicing yoga!

Mr. Gary grew up in Toronto, Canada. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and has been teaching since 2017. After obtaining his TESOL certificate, he decided to take his passion for teaching to Hong Kong. He enjoys playing video games and reading adventurous novels, but above all, he loves a fun-filled and communicative class with children.

Ms. Nicolene is from South Africa and studied zoology. She is very passionate about animals and teaching. She loves interacting with students of all ages and is dedicated to making sure they learn a lot.

Nikita is a passionate teacher from Cape Town, South Africa who loves helping children. Ms. Pamela is from Canada and teaching at Monkey Tree is her first experience living in Asia. She brings over 25 years teaching experience, from teaching school in Canada to tap dance to online English. She is a proud mom to 3 adult children and loves to travel. She loves hiking and reading, especially teaching young kids to read as it opens up their minds to different worlds.

Ms Pam was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in French, Politics and Legal Theory at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa. Ms Pam taught French at a pre-school in Harare and was a part of the communications personnel at a start-up company based in Harare, before she obtained her TEFL certificate. She enjoys reading and music, and she's excited to be a part of the Monkey Tree family.

Perry is from England and has been teaching for 13 years in countries including India, Ukraine, Spain and Egypt. He loves animals, playing music and exploring new places and finding new adventures. He believes that humour makes the world a better place and is hoping to one day learn the word platypus in Cantonese.

Miss Annie has three years of experience of teaching different level of students. She has worked with nursery kids, lower and upper primary students, as well as secondary students. She believes in fostering students' natural curiosity to drive learning and her aim is to help students to reach their academic goals.

Miss Rajvir is from Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is passionate about teaching children and creating a fun, positive and comforting learning environment. Her hobbies include reading and travelling.

Ms. Rebecca is an adventurous person who loves to meet new people and try new things. She has always wanted to be a teacher and has moved to Hong Kong to pursue this dream and experience more of the world. Rebecca likes to hike, Box, watch movies and read. Rebecca's greatest dream is to travel the world.

Ms René is from the small city of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Miss René studied at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University where she obtained her master's degree in criminal and labour law. Miss René spent a year teaching abroad in China, before coming to Hong Kong. Miss Rene's interests include traveling, learning foreign languages and reading.

Mr. Robert hails from Winnipeg, Canada. He has a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Manitoba, where he studied biology and chemistry. Mr. Robert has a lifelong love of learning that he hopes he can instill in his students. He enjoys history, a good book, and experiencing everything Hong Kong has to offer.

Mr. Robin is from the small city of Port Elizabeth South Africa. He has achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Cost and Management Accounting and also obtained a TEFL qualification. With the experience he has acquired teaching students of all ages, he aims to bring his passion and excitement for teaching to the classrooms of Monkey Tree.

Rochelle is from Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a bachelors degree in Humanities and a TEFL qualification from Stellenbosch University, as well as a business qualification from Varsity College. She is a passionate field hockey enthusiast and proud cat mom to three furry companions. Rochelle has taken her love for language and culture abroad and loves teaching at Monkey Tree!

Mr. Rudy was born and raised in Cabo Verde but spent a lot of time in the US throughout the years with his family. He came to Macau in 2016 to study Civil Engineering. He always had a passion for teaching, previously tutoring Math and English. He is also a singer, so in his free time he enjoys singing in bars, shows or with his friends.

Ms. Ronell is from South Africa. She graduated from Nelson Mandela University with a Bachelor’s degree in music, a PGCE from UNISA and also obtained her TEFL qualification. She has experience in Primary and High School teaching. She also did her CIBTAC accreditation, which means that she is an Internationally qualified beautician. Her hobbies include: gym. squash, hiking, reading and socializing. She loves teaching, because it is rewarding to see pupils reach for the stars.

Mr Philip is from South Africa. Over the past few years, he travelled around the world teaching English. To master the English language, Mr Philip puts a lot of focus on speaking. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and horse riding.

Mr. Rory holds an honors degree in Industrial Psychology and a PGCE in Education. He is passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives through education. His aim is to inspire and nurture their minds, fostering a lifelong love for learning. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and cooking, finding joy in exploring nature and creating delicious meals.

Mr. Ryan is from the United Kingdom and studied a BA in Archaeology at University. A trained historical site investigator, passionate in video, programming, and 3D media, he believes his patience for problem solving at a professional level is an asset in assisting young learners on their education journey.

Mr. Ryan is from Cape Town, South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor commerce finance degree. He loves sports and doing anything that is fitness related! He chose Hong Kong as it is an amazing place for all the things he enjoys, especially teaching. He can’t wait to bring his own enthusiasm to Monkey Tree!

This is Ms. Sam. She is from a beautiful country known as South Africa. Sam has received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, but has a passion for teaching the next generation of young learners!

Mr. Sam obtained a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Geography from Rhodes University, during his studies he also obtained his TEFL certification. After his studies, he worked in the agricultural sector and has since transitioned over to teaching English as a second language. Mr. Sam enjoys the outdoors and anything to do with nature and the ocean.

Mr. Sam was born and raised in Devon, UK. Obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography at Coventry University, he then completed his TEFL qualification six months later in 2023. He is eager to start his new life in Hong Kong and is thrilled to be working with the other Monkey Tree faculty to help children better their skills in English.

Mr Sam was born in the UK and has come to Hong Kong to pursue a career in teaching. Sam has a BA and MA in Philosophy from King's College in London and is passionate about ethics and epistemology. When not teaching children, Sam enjoys hiking, playing volleyball and travelling to nearby countries.

Mr. Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Accounting. Other than having taught teenagers accounting and economics, he is also a cricket and rugby coach. He is a dynamic and highly personable professional dedicated to fostering collaborative teaching environments and building strong relationships with young children. He enjoys all types of sports and is passionate about teaching. He is excited to teach English and share his experiences with kids.

Ms. Sarah is an energetic and cuddly teacher who is very excited to meet her new students. She is of British descent, born and raised in Hong Kong and is passionate in helping her students find the joy of learning English. Her hobbies include reading novels, playing volleyball and enjoying mother nature.

Mr.Saul is from Manchester, England and obtained a bachelor's degree in Law in 2021. Saul always aims to create a fun and exciting learning environment for his students. Outside of teaching he enjoys running, football and music.

Ms. Savannah is a bachelor of science graduate from South Africa. She is passionate about teaching children and creating an inviting, enjoyable and effective learning environment for her students. Her interests include science, cooking, baking, and painting.

Miss Mulan was born and raised in South Africa. Graduated at the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor in Consumer Science: Clothing Retail Management. She also has a TEFL qualification. In her free time, you will find her doing sports, going to the beach, or spending time with family & friends. She is very excited to join Monkey Tree as she loves children!

Mr. Shiney is from South Africa and graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree. After teaching for 6 years, he decided to apply at Monkey Tree so that he can broaden his knowledge through his passion and love for educating young children. He enjoys singing in his free time and is eager to include this into his lessons. He is excited to meet new people, learn about different cultures and explore Hong Kong.

Ms. Shannon was born in Hong Kong but moved to Macau when she was little and lived there until she finished her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Macau. After graduating, she realized she wanted to teach children and obtained her TESOL training. She has now moved back to Hong Kong to pursue a career in education and is looking forward to teaching at Monkey Tree.

Ms. Shannon is from Cape Town, South Africa. She has a Bachelor’s in Foundation Phase Education. She has a love for teaching and enjoys making lessons fun and exciting. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Hong Kong and being active.

Ms.Shante is an enthusiastic teacher from the coastal city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She took the leap of moving to Hong Kong in 2024, having never been to Asia. She has a passion for working with children of all ages, playing tennis and hiking through nature.

Shaun-Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the Western Cape, and is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. His passion for working with people lead him to join Monkey Tree to embrace a new challenge, and to experience a different, vibrant culture, while ensuring students grow confidence in their English language abilities.

Mr Shawn is from Rhode Island in the United States. He enjoys backpacking, camping and white-water rafting. He loves adventure, and is thrilled to make new memories with his students at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Shervin grew up in New York City. He studied Mechanical Engineering at New York University but quickly found that his passion was in teaching. Mr. Shervin has previously taught in South Korea and is excited to work with students here in Hong Kong. He loves traveling and hiking and aims to summit the twenty tallest peaks in Hong Kong during his time here.

Ms. Shona is from Durban, South Africa. She holds degrees in Ballet Dancing and Foundation Phase Teaching (B.Ed). Passionate about education and the arts, she blends creativity with learning. She adores the color pink and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Mr Simon is a motivated and wise teacher who brings years of experience to Monkey Tree. He obtained his TEFL in 2022 and has been teaching and managing people in various roles for nearly 10 years. His interests are reading, writing, hiking, and the gym.

Simoné Smit is an enthusiastic teacher from South Africa who is passionate about working with children. She enjoys spending time in nature and being creative. Simoné believes in fostering a fun and engaging learning environment where students can develop their English skills.

Ms. Dee is from South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, as well as multiple teaching qualifications from Cambridge University. She previously taught in China and enjoys making the classroom a fun place to learn and to develop her students. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking different types of food as well as playing the drums.

Mr. Andre is a passionate and adventurous individual who loves yoga, savoring diverse cuisines, and immersing himself in cinema. With a keen interest in the English language, he is eager to share his enthusiasm by teaching his young students.

Miss Somen has a bachelors in Global Business Management. She has experience in tutoring students and has previously worked as a native English teacher at other learning centres and in a local kindergarten school. In her free time, she enjoys baking and trying out new recipes.

Mr. Stephan is from Cape Town, South Africa, and graduated with a business and law degree at Stellenbosch University in 2020. He became admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2022 and thereafter pursued his passion for teaching. He has a youthful spirit and a strong command of the English language, striving to be a role model for his students.

Steven Barclay comes from South Africa where he grew up and has lived his whole life. He has achieved a bachelors in psychology and communication sciences and decided that travelling to a different country to teach would broaden his experiences and help him become a better individual.

Miss Sydney is a UJ Sport Psychology graduate with a passion for people. She loves sport and being outdoors. Some of her hobbies are; playing netball, watching basketball and coaching athletics.

Ms Talja is from South Africa. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Science at the University of South Africa. In her free time she enjoys reading adventurous novels and exploring new places.

Miss Caitlin is from South Africa. She graduated with an honors degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her family. She is passionate about working with her students to improve their language abilities. She has experience teaching children of all ages.

Ms Tamin-Lee is from South Africa. She studied Law and is a qualified Legal Practitioner who found her passion to be in working with young children. She completed the TEFL courses and looks forward to teaching in Hong Kong and getting to know the culture.

Ms. Tatum is an experienced ESL teacher with 10 years of teaching expertise, including 7 years spent in the classroom. She is passionate about helping her students develop their language skills and takes great pride in seeing their progress. Ms. Tatum is committed to making language learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience for all her students.

Ms. Tendai is a Zimbabwean native, who studied game development in Malaysia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Miss Tendai would make mobile games for all ages and posted them to the playstore, some of her published work include Achihera and Crozzle. Miss Tendai also enjoys, crafting, teaching, learning, travelling and mathematics. She is very happy that she can work at Monkey Tree!

Miss Tessa is from South Africa. She is passionate about teaching and hopes to help her students express themselves and have fun in the English class with both her Languages degree and TEFL qualification. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading.

Tiffany is from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She majored in Psychology and English at Stellenbosch University, and has a passion for working with children. She loves reading and being outdoors.

Mr. Tristan is an English teacher from South Africa. He came to teach English in Hong Kong after completing his honour’s degree in Psychology. He enjoys exploring new places, cultures and foods. He enjoys playing sports such as football and basketball. Mr. Tristan has a passion for teaching young learners and helping them improve as much as they can.

Mr. Tristan originates from Cape Town, South Africa. He has obtained a BA degree in Strategic Brand Communications. He is passionate about sports and enjoys travelling, visiting the beach and hiking in his free time. Tristan wants to ensure that he creates an engaging environment for his students to learn.

Tyler is a young Industrial Psychology graduate from Johannesburg, South Africa. He is teaching in Hong Kong to develop and nurture young minds. His passion for forming connections drove him to teach in Hong Kong while exploring the City’s vibrant, unique cultural landscape. He is excited to develop the youth to be prepared for the ever-growing, ever-changing globalized world.

Mr. Carel is from Cape Town, South Africa. After he completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mr. Carel worked as the Training Coordinator and English Teacher for a hotel group in the Maldives. He decided to move to Hong Kong to explore a different side of the world and meet new people. He enjoys studying different languages and is currently fluent in five languages. Mr. Carel is passionate about teaching.

Mr. Vansh really enjoys teaching English. He believes in building a special bond with his students by making the lessons as engaging as possible. He is very outgoing and likes to play a variety of sports.

Ms. Veraé is from South Africa and has a strong passion for education and helping students grow in confidence. She is currently completing her master’s degree while teaching, and she enjoys creating fun and engaging lessons that inspire her learners. Outside the classroom, she loves exploring new places and cultures, which she brings into her teaching to make learning exciting and meaningful.

Mr. Vince graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management. He has experience teaching kids in sports-related activities and is looking forward to sharing his experiences and their growth. During his free time, he loves playing sports to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Mr. Vincent is from Leicestershire, England and moved to Hong Kong in 2019. He has a passion for teaching and inspiring children. He enjoys making learning fun and by using games to encourage friendly competition. Mr. Vincent loves snooker and bowling.

Ms. Vitoria graduated from the University of Saint Joseph Macau with a bachelor's in Communication and Media. Originally from Brazil, she moved to Macau at the age of 9 and has embraced the rich cultural blend of the region. Before obtaining a TEFL Certificate, she worked as an animator creating educational videos that brought learning to life. She loves reading and drawing and is super excited to be a part of Monkey Tree, helping students on their learning journey.

Mr. Vuks is from South Africa. He has an Honours Degree in Media & Cultural Studies and has been teaching English as a foreign language for five years now. Mr. Vuks is a sports enthusiast and enjoys playing rugby, football, and doing Olympic weightlifting. He’s looking forward to making Hong Kong his home for the foreseeable future.

Mr. Wildric is a professional and responsible person. With proven leadership abilities in working as a team and driven growth through learning and commitment. Mr. Wildric is enthusiastic about delivering superior service to every student in any academic organization.

Mr. Willem is from South Africa. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport and Leisure in 2024 with Merit. He has a passion for sport and developing potential in others. He believes that Hong Kong is filled with opportunities and potential. He is enjoying teaching at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Yohanan obtained his degree in Secondary English Education and had been a shadow teacher at a school, he decided to join Monkey Tree so that he can expand his knowledge through his passion for educating young children. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with friends.

Zachary is a hard-working Monkey Tree teacher. Originally from South Africa, he aspires to one day become a full-time school teacher who can teach subjects such as science. Although he had little experience with teaching kids before coming to Hong Kong, his experiences with teaching foreign, university students English has been very enjoyable and unique.

Mr. Zander is from Johannesburg, South Africa. He enjoys working with kids of all ages and looks forward to teaching them all about the English language. He also aims to create a fun and interactive environment for his students to learn in!

Miss Zandri is from South Africa and has a degree in Industrial Psychology. She also completed her PGCE and TEFL certificate. She enjoys being outdoors and going to the gym.
